Fuel Problems?

I have an 84 magna and need some help. I have had the fuel tank off and cleaned it out and have replaced coil packs and fuel pump. I am still having problems with it cutting out at cruising speeds around 80 mph. It will shut down completely so I pull the clutch for a few seconds and then pop the clutch then it backfires and starts right back up. Can anyone help me?
