I do not work for Triumph, I am an aircraft mechanic therefore very interested in the proper operation of my bike. I waited 25 years to get another bike and this was it. I researched, investigated, planned and worked to get what I wanted , a Harley Fat Boy or Street Glide being my other choices. The V-twin concept is classic but having that rear cylinder between my knees in traffic in August in Florida was not very becoming. Our bikes are very nice, my only issue is the sound the valve mechanism makes but I´ll keep you posted on my Amsoil 20-50.

Your America is a nice bike, I was looking at it also but needed more CC´s Actually what brought me to Triumph was the Storm (testosterone laden). My last bike was a Honda 750/4.

Who knows what happened with the test ride prior to delivery, things happen and you can leave it up to that if you wish. They should take care of it now. I´m curious of the cause of the shimmy so please let us know. My tires had over 8,000 miles too and looked great, no inspection here though, but I only replaced my rear tire due to a flat. I believe that you should look into 40 psi minimum on your tires and slightly more if you carry a passenger. 2 psi on a bike tire vs. 2 psi on a car tire is a big difference, since there is less volume in a bike tire the ratio is much greater on the bike.

I´m curious about your belt replacement, why and do you have to pay for it? Don´t be disappointed on your bike, It´s quite a respectable machine.
