| Hi, Our bikes are rather new on the market and I don´t believe many mechanics are yet experienced in all problems. Yet a bike is a bike, the only diffence with other metrics and ours is the engine being a water cooled parallel twin, other than that it´s a bike. The belt drive is new for Triumph but it´s straight forward as is Yamaha, Harley, etc. I don´t know how new your dealer is or how experienced or responsible their mechanics are, your bike should have been test ridden prior to delivery. You found the problem and they confirmed it, you could have been hurt. Why did you replace both tires? How many miles are on your bike? Have you had any impacts on your bike? Our tires require at least 36 psi but that´s not enough, mechanics and other bikers advise me to keep at least 40 psi, a little more if you carry a passenger. A few things may have caused the shimmy; front tire installed rotating the incorrect direction, a bearing problem, loose axle, incorrect or no tire balance. Did the shimmy get worse as you accelerated and decrease as you decelerated or was It constant? Let me know and in the meantime i will ask around. I´ll keep you posted. |
