my bike came with an electric start and doesn´t even have a kick start, which at times is a pain, so you should be able to find one off another parts bike, aftermart parts are hard to find for the KLX, but it could start hard when hot because its a 4 stroke, so when you try and start it don´t touch the throttle or clutch and maybe even turn the gas off until it starts cause the warm motor could be fouling the plug, (check the plug too) cause 4 strokes are notorious for fouling plugs.
