Hi
The jerky throttle response can be helped a little with the uprated fuel pressure regulator (upfrom 56 to 59psi) and the k and n air filter. This also yelps with the flat throttle response at 3000 rpm. As for the rough roads a fork brace helped my 09 st. I got the fuel pressure reg from California sport touring, and the fork brace from MCL.
