I purchased bike number 227 from Tucson Motorsports in November of last year. That they really treated me right on the ST1100 trade in is a second story. My experiance with the new ST 1300 is one of appreciation and enjoyment. Yes my legs get warm. There could be some rerouting of air through the fairing to relieve this. Other than that I love this bike esp the long (320 mile ) cruise range. It is a good feeling to be able to handily ride past 200 and even 250 continous miles before thinking about where to stop for fuel. I think a saddle sore 1000 is in my future and soon. I have 14000 miles on the bike (Wingette). I rode from Tucson to Big bend Park in Tx, to Death Valley (1), California (2), and to Springfield, Missouri(3) The Missouri trip was a total of 3100 miles. As a tourer it does very well. I wish the top trunk was available with out foreign rigamarole. One loose day I took Wingette out and did 142 indicated. Supposedly there is 5 percent speedo error but the motor will run. It is smooth and powerful. A sorely needed improvement is a cruise control. I love the fuel read out and find it reasonably accurate. I get about 44 miles per gallon and cruise 80 - 85. The finish is excellent and the saddle bags will hold a helmet each. All in all I recommend this bike to others for whom long distance touring appeals. Those interested mostly in around town travel should look at other models as this one is too heavy (630 dry). Have a nice day and ride now, for life is short.
