I have not had that problem but the bike was recalled last October for the oil sump plate to be changed, re-tourqing of the main engine bolts, modifications to the engine frame (this cured the noise form the shaft) and also new inlet vents.

After the 4000 mile and under hard acceleration the timing chain started to rattle, the only change was the shop has now put in 100%symphetic oil as opposed to semi, although this is a higher spec oil the bike is better on the previous grade and will be changed back to that.

Not sure I will keep the bike, toured spain recently in the hot weather, the bike itself gives off a tremendous amount of heat,
