I´m looking at purchasing a 2004 Honda Shadow 1100 Spirit with low mileage. It looks to be in excellant shape.

I´m looking for a bike that I drive mainly around the city, with some highway, usually within 100km (60 miles ) of my house. I currently have a 1983 Honda CX500 which really fits the bill, but I want to update it.

Would love to hear about how you find it in the city? Is it easy to maintain (what about valve adjustments) and do you get decent fuel mileage (the CX500 got 60 mpg city or highway)?

Also like to hear what you like about the bike, or don´t.
