The engine tick has been the bane of my life with my 1100. I worked for a honda dealer and so I had access to the shop manuals and Hondas tech line and the best answers I got were Hydraulic lifters that had come unprimed. My Sabre has around 40k on it and the tick comes and goes and at varying levels. It drives me insane but there has been no loss of power or motor problems to date. The only way I know of priming the lifters again is very extensive and involves removal of the engine.
