Honda/Harley lawsuit.....what was the story?

Honda/Harley lawsuit.....what was the story?

Just purchased a ´97 1100 ACE and a few people have told me that 97 was the year that Harley sued Honda for something to do with the engine or the looks of the bike. Was this only model year that was involved and are these bikes worth anymore than any other year?
Either way I really like this motorcycle whatever the story.
