New to Shadow

I have not ridden much in years. Fixed a friends ride the other day and have the bug again. My last ride was a GSXR 1100. I am a lot older now and looking for something like the Shadow 1100 to do two up crusing for long trips. Years ago we would ride 800 mile in a day. Not sure I could do that any more but if I could is this bike up to it? Also how about power riding two up? I thank you for any help you can give. Regards Mike.
