I bought a 2003 1100 Spirit after finding that I could not afford a VTX 1800 AND insurance. I was worried that I had settled for something I was not going to be satisfied with but, consequently, have been pleasantly surprised. I could not imagine a more pleasant marriage of power, style and engineering. This is my first street bike at the age of 39. I do not see myself growing out of this bike any time soon. LOADS of low end torque and it feels incredibly smooth at highway speeds. I wish the exhaust was a tad meatier but my neighbors appreciate the low, throaty notes.
