the noise you hear isnt a lifter tick mine has done it nowe for over 20k no damage will ocurr it sounds from rear just but noise is coming from around fron case near the fly wheen at point of stator i have re done my engine with custom high comp pistons and sig erson custom cams i found that the stator mountign bolts had come lose not to the point of falling off and causing damge but not as snug as they should be. this is very common with the ace and arrow becuase of it single pin crank(mosy shadows and tow crank trow the ace and arrow has both rod throws at same point for the harley like runnign and power plus). two freinds have over 50 k on there bikes with out any damage or concerns with this noise ,,but i did fix mine when i modified it by put lock tight on all staot and igntion mounting places need not worrie enjoy a lonf enegine live and ride on aces rule!!!!!
