| Folks, I´m a newbie (both to biking and to this discussion group) - if this topic has been asked before, please no flames. I´d prefer help not abuse. I live in Europe - for my first ever bike, I thought that I´d like to buy a new Japanese 5-600cc lightweight cruiser. From all the reports I´ve read and from the little testing I´ve done, the Honda Shadow VT600DC (VLX Deluxe) sounds good. The local Honda vendors are trying to sell me the VT750 big brother - tool large for my budget and ability as a rider currently alas. No bike dealer in Europe (at least my part of it) seems to stock this VT600 model or be willing to obtain one on my behalf. The bike is cleary available in North America - look in the US honda site at ... http://powersports.honda.com/motorcycles/cruiser_standard/model.asp?ModelName=Shadow+VLX&ModelYear=2004&ModelId=VT600C4 Why can´t I find a local EU dealer/site that can source one of these North American models?? It may cost too much in which case I´ll have to look elsewhere. Is there a legal issue or is it a matter of dealers closing up the markets and shafting customers???
