I think the cooling system is OK. I ride around in steamy NYC traffic and have heard the fan kick on numerous times. I do feel a good bit of heat coming off the engine, especially near the air box. I find this a bit worrisome, especially since I had to replace the rectifier last summer. Nothing like trying to bump-start an Aero in rush hour Manhattan traffic!
