I have yet to change my pipes from stock, but hope to in the Spring. There are a number of options out there and none of them are cheap...especially if you want certain quality assurances. In my limited experience, Hard Krome will set you back about the most. I know guys with Cobras on who love them and guys with Vance & Hines who love them. Any aftermarket pipes will give you more of that single pin sound compared to stock, but it all comes down to appearance preferences. Check out all the different websites...many have audio of the pipes on your model of bike too. Also, if you are going to spend on the pipes, you should also upgrade your airbox and you must readjust your carbs with a new jet kit. When it is all said and done right, a new exhaust setup can easily reach $400-$500 for parts only. Good luck! ~ShadowRob |
