For anyone interested, found my answer on another site. Shell Rotella-T is an excellent motor oil for the Spirit 750 and Honda makes the best filters. There´s a discussion on motor oils for 1600 Yamaha Roadstars on Barrons Custom website. My new (´01) bike, after 20yrs. without, is a 1600cc Roadstar. My 26yr.old daughter´s Christmas present is a ´02 Spirit 750. Seems the same motor oil is ideal for both, as well as my diesel tractor...john...
