I recently purchased a shadow for commuting my six mile journey to work last night when I turned on ignition I found the bike had no electrics. After checking fuses and battery and finding nothing wrong pushed to bike home and phoned my dealer. My dealer picked up the bike this morning and told me it was just a flat battery and he would take it back to the shop to recharge it, he also told me that my six mile journey to work was not enough to charge the battery and will need to have optimiser is this true. I find it hard to believe as my work mates who travel a shorter distance then in power hungry cars don’t seem charging batteries every two months
