there are three bolts under the seat 12mm heads,remove these,also the passenger foot rests are held by 12 mmm bolts remove these and the whole seat unit will lift up ,there is a support rod to hold the seat up while you work on the engine or you can dissconect the socket for the back lights and slide the whole seat unit of the bike for better accses
