I test drove both and found the ruckus had slower accelleration and a slightly slower top speed, but did better on hills for some weird reason. I was down to 30 kph (not mph!) on a long steady hill I tried on the Metro, but got 35-40 kph on the same hill with the ruckus. The ruckus had far more clicks on it though, maybe it was better broken in or something. Anyway, ultimately they were both pretty similar, and I think style is what you should really base a decision on. Performance differences are pretty minor.
