I have a 2004 Rebel, I weigh 198 lbs. and NO, I have never had the front wheel lift off , a) low torque is not overbearing, b) low slung chassis and low seat keep it down where it should be. As to when required????? I have NOT had any occasion to want to pop one in 31 years of motobiking
