| Hello, welcome to the message board, happy new NTV. I´ve had mine for 18 months and done about 3000 miles on top of its 20k recorded. It´s been a good machine. I have renewed the fork seals they leaked when I bought the bike, there was some pitting in the fork leg but I filled it with Aroldite and it´s OK now. First I used pattern seals and these soon leaked again. I was about to buy new stantions and a friend recommended trying Honda seals. These have been great now for ages. I could never get the bike in nuetral from stand-still so checked the clutch discs, they measured up as new but my Honda dealer recommended fitting new ones as good practice. At £62 not bad. These have made all the difference and now no problem at all. Maybe the ones fitted originally were pattern? I checked the valve clearances and they were spot on. Fitted a centre stand - it has been very useful when working on the bike. I use David Silver Spares there very good. I phoned yesterday for a footrest and they delivered it today, brilliant. All the jobs I´ve done were dead easy. Had it nicked once and had to replace ignition switch. Great commuter bike and general purpose, have done the Welsh Rally and the Dragon on it. Just a bit heavy for me though, I´ve dropped it twice and cannot pick it up on my own. So may swap soon for something lighter. All for now. Dave |
