I just joined the Brotherhood of bikers this year.. From an automotive point of view, adding a Radiator (approx in the late 30´s) almost doubled the life expectancy of an Auto Engine. Performance, No. there usually is no increase in performance. BUT: As an Engineer, being able to regulate *Control* the temperature of any Engine based the design requirements, will increase the life of an Engine. Cycle Engines see an even more dynamic in Temperature over its operating life time. A radiator may not be ´cool´ per se because of the fan noise or performance, but your Engine will last far longer.. thus less maintenance, and of course, less $$.. Eventually out of necessity most bikes will have them above a specific CC. |
