cold starting problem

I have an 86 Maxim-x. Has new plugs, wires, and caps. cleaned and synced carbs. adjusted pilot jets to 2.5 turns out. This bikes runs and drives like a dream after all of the work that has been done to it. The problem that i have is when the tempature is colder than 60 degrees it will not start. I have to warm the engine with a space heater to get it to start. Once the engine is warm from the space heater it starts right up and purrs like a kitten. I am thinking that i have a coil issue. any in-sight wouold be appreciated.
