Just purchased a 1988 Wing with 92,000 KM´s, had been sitting for a few weeks, there was quite a puff of smoke (blue) on start up which did clear after a minute or two! A Wing rider friend told me the earlier 4 cylinder modles did this as a result of oil collecting in the valve guides but the 1500 shouldn´t?
Subsequent rideing has not shown any other smoking problems and the bike otherwise runs fine!
Is it usual for this model to smoke like this on start up? If not what is the fix?
