I have a small starting problem on my 81 Gl 1100

Picked up an 81 Gl 1100 last month in perfect running condition.
Stripped and repainted all plastic and redone the seat, cleaned and polished everything .I never touched any electrical parts or wiring harness.
Battery is fully charged ; i got power everywhere; all fuses good including the fusable link on the starter solenoid and still when i push the start button all i hear is the starter solenoid clicking.
What and where to look next?
Please help.
