Howel is your Stator working. I think it has a nice JET sound but everyone is different.
As for the clunk, yup normal, try putting a little pressure on shifter micro-sec before releasing clutch AND at the same time letting of throttle a bit. It´s a feel-to-learn thing. Eventually you´ll learn the \
