The good news is that pulling the motor isn´t really that big a deal. I bought a ´78 wing in 1999 for $800 Can. ($500 U.S.F. at the time), rebuilt the carb.s, changed oil, coolant, thermostat, filters etc., adjusted the points, and have been grrinning ever since! The only problem that has surfaced is a slipping clutch, and that only happens if I´m power shifting at high RPM´s. What has amazed me is the handling of the old boat. I expected it to be an unmanouverable battle cruizer, but it actually drops easily into corners, and behaves admirably even when dragging the sidestand, or right footpeg slider. Powering out of corners on slippery surfaces sends it for a flat track style slide that gets the blood circulating rapidly! Yahoo!
