FT500 kickstart conversion with cb250rs bits?

Has anyone tried a kickstart conversion from a cb250rs engine?The right hand crankcase appears exactly the same.It looks like the crankcase from the cb250rs and the kickstarter and shalf will fit.Has anyone tried this?Andy
