You can probably put a wider rear tire on the bike but, in my experience, it isn´t necessary. I know of a guy who put a car tire on his Rune, but my opinion is that the engineers who designed the bike, know what is best and I do not pretend to be smarter than they, ergo, I will stay with the stock tire.
