| Hey folks, Dave here, i´ve had my 05 IB Rune for about a month now and am thrilled to death with it! Now i sense a little anti Gold Wing attitude here? I´m 49 and have been a serious rider since i was 14 and that is ten motorcycles and the laat four have been Wings, i´m a card carrying life member of the GWRRA and have been since 1982! The best touring bike on the road bar none. I´ve logged a little over a million miles since 1978 on my Wings, so the departure to the Rune was a big one for me! I got a hell of a deal on this one, 1100 miles on the clock and it was owned by a doctor in St. Louie. It was too much bike for him, so it sat in his garage for the last six months and i was able to get it for 17-grand, so i´m pretty happy! All it has is a windshield, so the prospect of bags and/or a rumble seant and passenger pegs is pretty high on my list, it´s hard to find a place to stash a stick of gum and that´s pretty hard for a touring guy who takes three state trips on a regular basis! I have lots of questions of course and am looking for a Shoei, or Arai helmet that looks good with the bike, but it´s hard finding a good color match, or combination to go with the IB and i don´t want some scramble of devils, stars and eyeballs plastered all over my hat! Gotta be a full coverage though! Sounds like a fun place and i look forward to gaining a lot of knowledge from you guys and $%&*^%^&!!! I missed the 3rd Rune Rally, i just found out about it!!!
