2001 Honda Elite 80 broken seat lock

2001 Honda Elite 80 broken seat lock

The plastic piece that connects to the metal seat lock which turns said plastic piece to move metal hatch so seat opens came unattached. No matter how I push back into place it will not work properly to move the hatch and open the seat. Any ideas on how to fix?
