Hose on top of 93 elite gas tank

Hi. I´m putting a 94 ch80 back together. Bought a 93 gas tank off of ebay. It seems to have a hose running off of the top of it that doesn´t appear in any schematics. Someone told me that it may be a California model??? Might be a vent tube? I don´t see where it could hook up. Can anyone shed some light? Thanks
