I´ve just traded my @ in after 31,000 trouble free miles in 5 years. I had the metallic green one which wasn´t the best colour but I didn´t mind because I think the whole design looked great. I am picking up my new Dylan on Wednesday which essentially is exactly the same bike (there have been a few tweaks and improvements) but with a different body shell. They stopped selling the @ in the UK after about 18 months and replaced it with the Dylan because Honda could standardise it across Europe. Performance wise it´s been brilliant. At the front of the lights I leave everything standing (unless they literally put their foot down) and the handling gives you immense confidence. It´s incredibly stable and nimble through tighter gaps. My @ gave me 80mpg constantly and my 26 mile round trip every day was a pleasure. The bike started no matter what and I used it all year round, come rain, snow or shine - never let me down once. If I had one complaint, it was that it needed servicing every 2500 miles and, towards the end, the worn out replacement parts were quite expensive. I had to remind myself that it is only a 125 (because it doesn´t feel like it) and when I questioned my dealer about the wear and tear they had to admit that they´d never seen a scooter do this many miles! However, if I offset that with the savings in petrol (£8/week for about 150 miles), tax (£15) and insurance (£120/year) it would probably not really matter. Plus I could do my commute in half the time of any other mode of transport! So, if you can find an @ then get it, if not get a Dylan and you won´t regret it. Danny |
