Check to make sure the leak is not actually coming from the tube connecting the gas tank and the carbs. If one of the connections is leaking ever so slightly it will seem like the gaskets are leaking. If it is the gaskets you could easily replace them yourself. Follow the Clymer manual. There are two throttle cables and a choke connect. Be sure to mark them when you disconnect them. Oldbikebarn.com has cheap rebuild kits. Good luck.
