Rubbing noise

I just purchased a 79 CX500 custom and after one week, I am getting a funny noise from the front while the bike is in motion. It almost sounds like something is rubbing together but I can find nothing up front that is in contact that would make such noise. I am not mechanical savvy either. Any ideas what this could be?
