This is most unusual!
I would suspect the problem lies in the coils/HT leads plugs or connections.
Check you have the correct coils leads and plugs on your bike.
Running the CDI into faulty coils etc can pop the SCR´s in the CDI

Also check the kill switch connection, this should be normally open and stops the engine by shorting the CDI to ground.
Any earth leakage may burn out the CDI
