You may want to rebuild and clean the carbs. Use kerosine an old toothbrush, steel wool, and a small wire brush. Be careful not to leave any debris in any of the cannals or jets. Also note the low speed needle setting. If that doesnt solve your problem there may have a dead/dying stator. You can test your stator by unplugging the yellow wires from the recitifier and test the resistance between each yellow wire and the ground if there is any connections between the two... the stator is in need or a rewind, or you can just replace it.
