When I crack the throttle at 55 or 60 mph, the bike wants to shut down. Acts like fuel starvation. I checked and drained all fuel bowls suspecting water. Everything was fine. bike is 1982 CX-500 Custom. Happens in 4th and 5th gear. Lower gears will see redline when asked. Is there some kind of 55mph safety switch which is shutting this down? If there is, I need to cut it out of the system. I remember the governments stupid 55 mph law. I need to go more than 55 mph.
