| Hello everyone, I own a 2021 Benelli Leoncino 250 and I am looking for some advice regarding a shifting problem. Recently, the bike fell on the left side and the impact was directly on the gear shift lever. I checked and adjusted the lever afterward, but since then I have been having intermittent transmission issues. The symptoms are: - Shifting from 1st to 2nd often fails. It usually goes into neutral, and I have to shift back to 1st before it allows me to select the next gear. - While riding, it sometimes gets stuck when shifting up, especially around 3rd and 4th gear. - The gear lever feels like it is not completing the shift, then suddenly there is a noticeable click from inside the transmission and everything becomes smooth again. - After that click, the gearbox works normally for a while. - The problem happens more often during upshifts from lower to higher gears. Since the problem started immediately after the bike fell on the shift lever, I suspect something in the shift mechanism may have been bent or damaged (shift shaft, return spring, ratchet mechanism, or selector mechanism). Has anyone experienced something similar on a Leoncino 250 or another Benelli 250 model? Any advice on what to check first would be appreciated. Thank you. |
