Oil from the transmission side going to the engine side |

I notice something very rare in my CRF450 and need your help. I used it last Saturday nearby 15 minutes and I noticed a lot of oil coming down from the housing of the oil filter. I figured out that the issue was related to the filter that could be very soak and some oil drops were falling down. I removed the seat but the oil filter was very dry instead. So, I barely separated the air filter and I notice a lot of oil in the connecting tube between the filter and the carburetor. I noticed a breath hose in the top of the plastic and followed it noticing that it comes from the one of the oil reservoirs (engine side). I opened the cap of the engine side reservoir and it was completely full of oil and some oil came out. I open the reservoir of the transmission side and this one was very empty. I purged some oil from the engine side and added new oil to the transmission side and check the correct oil level of each side. I left resting the bike around one hour to ride it again. When I used it for 5 minutes a started checked the oil level and the eye glass of the engine side had raised up. I used 5 minutes more and the engine side was again full of oil and the other side very low of oil. So, I stopped and did not used the bike anymore. Yesterday, I check the oil level to see if the engine side remained high but it had reached the normal level and the other side was also normal. I used again the bike for around 10 minutes and the raising up issue started again. Do you have any idea about this symptom? |
