I´ve only ridden my new CRF once, but being it is the first four stroke I have ridden, and hearing all the rumors of them being tuff to start,ex-specially when hot, I found mine quite easy to turn over. Hot and cold. It has a handy hot start lever located next to the clutch for easy access, which Yamaha´s have under the gas tank, and a built in automatic decompressor inside the engine also. There is none of that finding top dead center of the piston before following threw with a healthy kick. It starts very easy, almost like a two stroke. Keep in mind I have never owned a four stroker before, but this is one purchase I won´t reget at no means!!! Did I mention it has ONE HELL OF A GRUNT to it also. Brrrraapppp... Well another month or two the snow will be gone here, and HAPPY DAYS will be on there way, can´t wait to take it out again. P.S. -- Honda´s Rule and Others Drool. |
