no way man, not a whole lot of difference, i´v riddent them back to back and the new one just has a bit more bottom and but the 2002 actually has a higher peak horsepower...stick with yours, its not worth the trouble but i do suggest an FMF Fatty pipe...it will give it even more bottom then the new one has.
