yes its worth something (assuming it is not too beat-up and the mileage isn´t to high.) I have one that I bought with very low mileage (5000Km/3000miles). It needed a battery but other than that it has worked flawlessly. I took it to a motorcycle shop that works on older bikes and was told it was a very reliable machine. I´ve used it to commute to work all summer and have added 4000km/2500miles to the odometer. It is a very good learner bike. Enough pep to be fun but not too much as to be intimidating.
