I just got a 1981 honda cm 400 custom for my fiance. Trying to do tune up and was checking on the balence chain adjustment. Book says if the adjuster plate bottoms out on the stud it needs to be repositioned. Is it bottomed out if the adjuster nut is at the bottom of the plate or if the plate slides down and the nut is touching the top of the plate? Very confused.
