Well I have a 81 honda cm400c which is basically the same bike you have. I too bought a real busted up bike. I kicked around alot of ideas. Chopper, Cafe racer, and even using the engine on a Triumph rigid I have. But I decided to make a bobber. I´ve cut the frame backend off, lowered the swing arm 2", removed the air box and stock exhaust. Tucked all the electronics and battery under a custom single seat. Its still rough but its starting to look pretty cool. I took all the stock lights off. After market headlight,Mini ape bars, and chrome uni-filters all look great. I ordered mac 2-1 exhaust, thou I wanted to make a custom one, it was gonna be a REAL pain in the butt. Oh the center stand is gone too. I hope to have this thing under 350 pounds. I´m working on the electrics now. Drop me a e-mail if you have any questions or ideas. Oh I´m a pretty big guy so I look ridiculous but I can´t wait to pull a wheelie next to some $30,000 BOLT-ON Bike, and laugh my ass off. Have fun
