i have a 1981 honda cm400 custom and i am trying to get it going but i dont know what is wrong with it. i havent got a battery for it but i have hooked it up to a 12vlt battery and trying to jump it. when i hook it up and turn the key to the on position and i hit the starter button the lights just get dim and nothing happends and i have checked the starter and cleaned up the electricla mounts and checked all of the wires but it stil doesent turn over what could be wrong?
