My partner and I both have rebel 250 cc
They can be hard to start in cold weather
The choke often has to be out for the first 5 - 10 min even when riding before it will warm up enough to push it in.

Over the winter you may need a battery charger to keep the battery up
enough to start the bike.

Old gas in another problem, after a few months of sitting the gas may need to be drained out and some fresh put in to start the seasons riding in better weather (6 months in vancouver)
