My partners 85 250 rebel gets just over 100 mi per gal
My 83 250 Honda custom gets barely 60 miles per gal.

Why the difference of 40 miles per gal?
Is the carburetor different on the two bikes?
Can I put a Rebel carb on a Custom and improve the mileage
I ride both of them at the same speed, and have filled the tanks
myself


My 250 Custom has rust in the tank and unless 60 mi per gal is all they ever got on a Custom maybe my problems are rust in the float system.
I am not sure
Does anyone have any answers
