Just got a 1982 CM250 with 55,000 miles. No battery and has not been started/ridden for at least 10 years. Where is my starting point? Is there a manual/guide that gives me a list in order of things I need to do before I try to start this bike? I´m assuming that I check for rust in the gas tank, drain everything, refresh all fluids and buy a new carb and then give it try? This a project bike but I would like to get this running soon. Fairly clean overall. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Does it hurt to steam clean the entire bike?
